This broken stone rests in a loose pile just above the tide-line on Yeo Island. I imaging the stone broke when it struck the other’s in the pile. Did it have its bright inner color when it broke, or is it the result of oxidization since it was broken? I am tempted to believe it is a color part way along in the oxidization process because the exterior of the rock seems to have lost this striking coloration.
